Ladders, climbing equipment, measuring tapes, rangefinders, and notepads were indispensable to get the job done, only to get a couple of measurements that were far from accurate or comprehensive. Nowadays we have access to more advanced technologies just by reaching into our pockets. Equipped with high-resolution cameras or even LiDAR scanners, our smartphones replace a truckload of tools and allow us to scan our worksite in a matter of minutes. That way we can take a 3D-scan of the whole site with us, always being able to take more measurements where needed. Even when we’re back home and far away from the real site. Get an introduction to creating those scans and using them in your SketchUp models for better treehouse-building, better remodeling, better getting things done!
