For many SketchUp users, Match Photo is the tool that they are most intimidated by but it is a process well worth learning. Robert Coolidge’s Match Photo workflow is a combination of techniques that combines measuring for accuracy, modeling from scratch, and Match Photo references (for quick and dirty content). Match Photo can be used to create models from photos as well as place models into the context of a photo. What Hollywood calls a “Matte Shot” can be produced with Match Photo and Photoshop, or entirely within SketchUp by using watermarks. Think of Match Photo as an iceberg of SketchUp possibilities, many which Robert will explore in this session.
