Brian Benham is known for his artistic furniture creations and attracts clients looking for something unique and unusual. As a result, he has had to develop methods to quickly design unique pieces of furniture to suit each client's individual style. In this presentation, he will share a workflow that he uses in SketchUp to rapid prototype unique design ideas for his clients. His process uses a customized SketchUp template to track design iterations, pre-client presentations, as well as post-client presentations. Finally, he will walk you through a real-world example of some of the pieces he has designed to show how he iterates on design ideas using different grids and customizable assets he has saved within his component library.
